Žaslių gaisrinė

Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis

Frequent town fires led the local community to form a volunteer firefighting brigade. The current building is a renovated fire-truck shed dating to the First Lithuanian Republic period, which also hosted community meetings and social gatherings with performances by the firefighters' brass orchestra. The Žasliai volunteer brigade was described in period sources as one of the most advanced in the region, noted for being disciplined and calm.
