This public square in Kaišiadorys, next to the cathedral, was renovated in 2016 with new paving, lighting, a fountain and seating areas. During that reconstruction, workers found buried remains of the cathedral churchyard's original massive gate fragments. After Teofilius Matulionis's beatification, the Kaišiadorys district municipality officially named the square after him in 2017.
