Metsavenna Campfire Site

Kempingas, Louna-Eesti

Metsavenna lõkkekoht is a free public campfire site maintained by the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) in Vastse-Roosa village, serving as a stop on the RMK Peraküla-Aegviidu-Ähijärve hiking trail. Its name and setting reference the Forest Brothers (metsavennad) who once hid in these woods, and visitors are advised to fetch water from the nearby Saarjõe river to douse the fire before leaving. It is a separate, unstaffed public site and not part of the adjoining privately run Metsavenna Talu farm, whose bunker-tourism attraction is a paid business in the same area.
