Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
This station opened on September 4, 1871 at the junction of the St. Petersburg-Warsaw and Liepāja railways, and its construction significantly drove the growth of Kaišiadorys town. It holds national significance: the first train of independent Lithuania departed from here to Radviliškis on July 6, 1919. The passenger building stands on its original site, though the old building burned in a July 1944 bombing and was rebuilt after World War II. In the former locomotive depot on the station grounds, the Kaišiadorys gymnasium set up a sports hall between the wars where Lithuania's national basketball team, European champions in 1937 and 1939, played.
