Created by sculptor Sigitas Straigis, this sculpture depicts a majestic figure of Christ blessing, positioned at a prominent spot in Veliuona that is visible both from the Kaunas-Jurbarkas road and from the Nemunas River. As described locally, it "blesses those arriving in Veliuona and accompanies those departing," standing near other Veliuona landmarks including the 1930 Vytautas the Great monument and the Assumption of Mary church, close to the Veliuona hillfort complex overlooking the Nemunas.
