🦁Zoopark

Aktyvaus laisvalaikio vieta, Kauno apskritis

Despite the address suggesting Lithuania's national zoo, this Zoopark is a separate, much smaller contact zoo inside the Mega shopping centre in Kaunas. Billed as Lithuania's first interactive zoo when it opened on 22 June 2017, it lets visitors touch and feed around 100 to 200 animals across roughly 17 species, including meerkats, skunks, chinchillas, African hedgehogs, squirrels, rabbits and guinea pigs. The animals are raised from birth to tolerate close human contact and are cared for on-site by veterinary staff, with the venue also hosting excursions, camps and children's birthday events.
