Protected as a natural heritage object of Skuodas district municipality, this oak in Šniukščiai measures 3.50 meters in girth at 1.3 meters height. Local history holds it was planted near a homestead boundary during the Soviet collective-farm era, when farm chairman Jokūbauskas and local farmers built a nearby facility of clay, wood and concrete posts near the Pabrėžai estate under the guidance of master builder Dvarionas.
