Šauklių riedulynas

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

Protected since 1971 and now part of Salantai Regional Park, this 82 hectare reserve near Šaukliai holds a glacial boulder field with stones 0.3 to 3 meters across, carried here some 12,000 to 13,000 years ago from Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea floor. The reserve shelters 125 plant species, including protected flora, and Europe's largest mouflon herd, with a 2.2 kilometer accessible metal walkway winding through the boulders.
