This memorial in Kelmė honors writer Bronius Laucevičius-Vargšas. Local sculptor Juozas Liaudanskis carved his likeness into stone from the Kražantė riverbank, working despite his advanced age and diabetes, and unveiled the piece in 1988. When vandals later broke off the nose, Liaudanskis repaired it and deepened the facial features rather than abandon the work.
