Juozo Liaudanskio paminklai Kelmėje

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

Folk artist and stone sculptor Juozas Liaudanskis, who spent most of his life in Kelmė, left his work across the town and in cemeteries as far as Stulgiai, Žalpiai, Kurtuvėnai, Tytuvėnai, Lioliai and Marijampolė. His Kelmė pieces include "Skalbėja" (The Washerwoman), "Saviveiklininkai" (Community Performers), "Lietuvaitė" (Lithuanian Woman) and the memorial to Bronius Laucevičius-Vargšas, all marked by the symmetry, detailed carving and folk-art tradition typical of his work, spanning both religious memorial pieces and later secular decorative sculpture.
