This hillfort on an isolated hill has a quadrangular platform, 33 by 13 meters, ringed on three sides by a rampart with a ditch at its southwestern foot, and steep slopes 8 to 14 meters high. A foot-of-hill settlement lies nearby, where striated, rough, smooth and wheel-turned pottery, slag and grinding stones have been found, and a 5th-6th and 11th-12th century barrow cemetery, excavated in 1971 and 1986-1989, lies 250 meters northeast. Local legend claims a pagan temple stood here or that Swedes built the mound, and that giants once lived on this and the neighboring Lašiniai hillfort, greeting each other across the distance.
