Bernātu skatu tornis

Apžvalgos vieta, Kurzeme

Shaped like a boat and set atop a sand dune along the yellow-marked Saules (Sun) trail, this tower is one of 151 environmental objects, including sculptures, gates, and information stands, created by father-and-son sculptors Ģirts and Gaits Burvis for Bernātu Nature Park. It anchors the Saules trail, one of seven themed walking routes each dedicated to a different figure from Latvian mythology, built under the "South Kurzeme Coastal Heritage Through the Centuries" project. From the top, visitors look out over the park's dune landscape near the Baltic coast.
