Bernatų gamtos parko takas

Graži vieta, Kurzeme

This 1.2 km loop trail in Bernāti Nature Park on Latvia's Baltic coast leads via a path and stairs to the summit of the Pūsēni dune, at 37 meters the highest sand dune in Latvia. The dune formed between 1785 and 1835, when shifting sand buried around 80 houses in the area, including the forester's house that gave the dune its name. The trailhead has a parking lot with an information stand, picnic areas, a restroom, and bicycle parking, and the route is open to walkers and cyclists, with dogs allowed on a leash.
