Kruonio Dievo Motinos Globėjos cerkvė

Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis

In the early 17th century, the Oginski magnate family built a brick Orthodox church in Kruonis with their family burial crypt, alongside an Orthodox monastery. In 1919 the church passed to Catholics and was converted into a Catholic church. Separately, in 1927 a wooden Orthodox church was built on the edge of Kruonis on Slavų gatvė; it houses a late-18th or early-19th-century icon of Our Lady of Kazan with a metal icon cover, and Orthodox services are still held there on major feast days.
