Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
This is a locally significant urban-planning heritage monument, not a single building: Kruonis's radial street plan converging on a central quadrangular square took shape in the late 1600s, when the town was a Karaite settlement with craftsmen and a mill. Its first church was built in the mid-15th century, endowed by Grand Duke Kazimieras in 1472, and the town passed to the Oginski family in 1570. Painter Vladas Didžiokas (1889-1942) is buried in the local cemetery. Since 2008 the town has hosted the "Renesanso naktys Kruonyje" classical music festival, held on the church or manor grounds.
