Unveiled in 1991 and created by V. Smitrius, this memorial near Ariogala combines a chapel with a commemorative column honoring J. Kostyra, a partisan unit commander who died in a Soviet labor camp. Fifty-three white concrete crosses line the hillside below, marking partisans who died in the Ariogala area and were reburied here in 1990 as Lithuania restored its independence.
