Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
Construction of the first church on this site began between 1502 and 1508. Around 1620 the church passed to Protestant control, was destroyed during the Russian invasion of 1654-1655 but rebuilt by 1672, and was rebuilt three more times up to 1914. From 1896 to 1898 the church's vicar was honorary canon Kazimieras Daukša, the first to hold Lithuanian-language services there. The old church was demolished in 1914 and a new one begun, interrupted by World War I; construction resumed in 1922, and although the towers and interior were unfinished, the church was consecrated on December 22, 1924. One tower was completed in 1929; the second was never built, so the church still stands with only one tower today. It is now part of the Camino Lituano pilgrimage route.
