Marijampolės Marių parkas

Graži vieta, Marijampolės apskritis

Marių parkas was created in 1974 when the Šešupė River was dammed near Kvietiškis, forming an artificial lake that the park is built around and named after. Covering nearly 51 hectares of land surrounded by water, it holds roughly 80,000 planted trees and shrubs of native and introduced species. Facilities include benches, changing cabins, a beach volleyball court, a grilling area, a wakeboard park on the eastern side opened in 2015, and a campsite added the same year.
