Uosininkų hillfort

Graži vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

Uosininkai hillfort, locally known as Zamkova Gura, rises on an isolated hill ringed by marshland and is thought to date back to the first millennium AD. Its oval platform measures roughly 48 by 22 metres with slopes up to 6 metres high, and the whole site is now covered in mixed forest. It was formally listed as a regionally significant archaeological and landscape monument in 2010, but reaching it means a walk along field and forest tracks rather than a marked tourist path.
