This hillfort in Daukšiai has a rectangular fortified area measuring 60 by 35 meters, once ringed by earthen ramparts up to a meter high that have since eroded considerably. Excavations in 1978 turned up pottery fragments and stone construction spanning the 1st through 13th centuries, and the mound is believed to mark the site of the Seculmzeme stronghold, documented in 1253.
