Skaistakalnis

Graži vieta, Panevėžio apskritis

Skaistakalnio parkas is the oldest park in Panevėžys, laid out in the late 19th century on the former Karpis family manor grounds in a bend of the Nevėžys River, split by the Žagienė stream. During the interwar period it hosted concerts and festivals and was renamed Vytauto Park in 1929 ahead of the Vytautas the Great jubilee. After decades of Soviet-era industrial use damaged parts of the grounds, the park has recently been restored with a new interactive heritage trail.
