Known since the 17th century and first recorded in 1685 in the Beržėnai township registry, Pakėvis manor was the birthplace of writer and ethnographer Liudvikas Adomas Jucevičius (1813-1846). During the Soviet period its buildings served a collective farm and housed a school. The estate covers about 40 hectares, and its surviving buildings, the main house, a granary, a storehouse and a stable, went up around 1900.
