Gruzdžiai Manor

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

Gruzdžiai Manor is one of the oldest and largest manor estates in Lithuania, its lands first recorded around 1557 and granted by King Sigismund Augustus in 1568. Over the centuries it passed through the Chodkiewicz, Radziwiłł, Sapieha, Zubov and Naryshkin families, with its main buildings rebuilt in 1810-1812. Since 1923 the estate has housed an agricultural school, and 24 original buildings survive today, including a mill, granary, stables and a water tower.
