The Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Šventoji serves a parish founded in 1939. The current church was built from 1991, designed by architects R. Krištapavičius and G. Aperavičius, and consecrated in 2003 by Bishop J. Boruta. Its roughly 40-metre bell tower has an observation platform reached by 200 steps, with views on a clear day over Šventoji harbour, the sea, and as far as Palanga.
