One of the largest bogs in Žemaitija National Park, Barstytaliai bog covers about 35 hectares within the Mikytai landscape reserve near Barstyčiai, sheltering rare plants and animals amid its mix of open water, wetland vegetation and forested islands. A 5 meter observation tower gives visitors a panoramic view over the wetland.
