Mūro kryžius (paminklas)

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

Built in 1567 at the market square on the initiative of Jonas Jeronimas Chodkevičius, founder of Skuodas, this brick wayside chapel served as a place of worship before the town had its own church, commemorating the earliest Catholic missions here from the 16th century. Destroyed during the Soviet period, it was rebuilt in 1990 as a 10 meter chapel with a pyramidal roof and metal cross, its niches holding statues of St. Barbara, St. Joseph, St. Florian, Christ carrying the cross, and the Virgin Mary in the main niche.
