Šančiai spring (also known as Žemeių Šanųi or L. Ivinskios g. spring) is a popular spring gushing in the city of Kaunas. Due to its high debit and easy accessibility, it has long been heavily visited by local residents. It's worth knowing: The source is in Zemeųši Šančiai, at L. Ivinskio st. 114A, at the foot of the Nemunas slope. According to the environmental monitoring data carried out by the municipality, the spring water has moderate anthropogenic pollution and an increased microbial background. City specialists strongly do not recommend using this source water for drinking without boiling, and it should not be given to babies and children at all.
