Graži vieta, Tauragės apskritis
This mound fortress on the right bank of the Nemunas is identified with Bisenė Castle, the first fortress in Lithuania attacked by the Teutonic Knights, in 1283. It features a four-sided earthwork platform measuring 36x28 m with a rampart up to 7 meters high, terrace remnants and a surrounding ditch about 2.5 meters deep. Rebuilt after the initial attack, the fortress was assaulted again in 1313 and 1316 and was ultimately burned by the crusaders on April 4, 1316; settlement traces covering roughly 1.3 hectares extend north of the fortress site, dating overall to the 13th-14th centuries.
