Chirkšti suffocational circus and spring is a unique natural place in the Dzūkija National Park, through which underground water discharges from the Bakanauskai bog to the Skroblaus stream. This spring gushes deep in the horn carved in between the sun-heated heathers of Dzūkija, at its source, even in summer, fog rises and there is a breath of coolness. Today it is an important hydrogeological and natural heritage site, especially valued for its completely natural, wild state and clear water. It is worth knowing: The protection of the spring and the surrounding old forests is taken care of by the "Sengirė Foundation" together with the Dzūkija National Park Directorate.
