Surrounded by continental dunes, there is a small (29.4 ha) Bakanauskai marsh with a remnant Bakanauskai lake (4.2 ha). Lake Bakanauskai was created as a result of thermokarst phenomena - when a block of ice melted and was buried under the drifts of the retreating glacier.
