Žygis, Vidzeme
This roughly 2 kilometer nature trail begins at the bridge over the Rauna River on Vidzemes Street in Rauna and follows both riverbanks. Along the way it passes white sandstone outcrops, the rocky bed of the Rauna River, the ruins of the former Rauna mills and hydroelectric station, the Velna ala (Devil's Cave) and the Tanīss hillfort. The path is suitable for walking, cycling and strollers, and is fitted with informational signs and activity elements aimed at families with children. Entry is free, with parking, rest areas and a barbecue spot near the trailhead, and the Rauna Tourism Information Centre supports visitors.
