The Līvāni ferry crosses the Daugava River at the end of Zemgales iela, one of only two ferry crossings still operating in Latvia. The vessel was built from pontoons salvaged from a former Soviet army tank pontoon bridge, and carries pedestrians, cyclists, cars, and buses of up to 20 seats; the crossing takes 5-7 minutes.
