This observation platform stands on Vydūno alėja in the churchyard in Vilkija, overlooking a wide bend of the Nemunas toward the forests and plains of the Suvalkija ethnographic region. The original wooden platform rotted and had to be dismantled for safety; it was rebuilt to current safety and comfort standards on the initiative of parish priest Linas Sipavičius, and now has benches for visitors.
