This 28-meter minaret in Kėdainiai Central Park was built around 1880 by Russian general Eduard Totleben to commemorate the Crimean War, after the manor estate was confiscated from the Čapskis family following the 1863 uprising. It stands within the 37.26-hectare park originally laid out in 1811 by Count Pranciškus Čapskis and rebuilt in 1845 by Marijona Hutten-Čapskienė, who widened the Dotnuvėlė stream and added the surrounding ponds, islands, and bridges.
