Burbaičių piliakalnis

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

This hillfort stands by Burbaičiai village on the right bank of the Kražantė river, at its confluence with an unnamed stream. Elliptical and complex in shape, it rises as much as 24 meters high, running 120 meters long and 80 meters wide, with a nearly circular 18 meter plateau on top ringed by a rampart system. Archaeological surveys in 1903 and 1967 recovered pottery now held in the Lithuanian National Museum.
