This pedestrian suspension bridge over the Dubysa in Betygala replaced an earlier, wider bridge destroyed by ice floes during the Soviet era. It is one of several such crossings on the Dubysa, alongside others near the Lyduvėnai railway bridge, Ugionys and Ariogala.
