Raised in 1935 at the crossing of three streets in Betygala to mark the 500th anniversary of Grand Duke Vytautas's death, this monument by sculptor P. Aleksandravičius is one of the town's most important symbols, having survived the Soviet period when most similar Lithuanian monuments were destroyed.
