Apžvalgos vieta, Kauno apskritis
Žiegždrių atodanga is a roughly 22-meter-high, 400-meter-long geological outcrop on the shore of the Kauno Marios reservoir near the village of Žiegždriai, in Kauno district. It lies within the Kauno Marios Regional Park and forms part of the Žiegždriai geological trail. The exposed layers document glaciolacustrine sediments of the Kauno-Kaišiadorys basin, recording the retreat of the last glacier in Lithuania and the proglacial lakes that followed it. The site is protected as a state natural heritage object for its scientific and educational value.
