Žydų žudynių ir užkasimo vieta (Šaulių g.)

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

In the summer of 1941, around 600 people, most of them Jewish, were shot against the wall of the former Šauliai Union building in Skuodas and buried on the spot; remains from Kulai I village were reinterred here in 1963. A red granite memorial in the shape of a stylized Star of David, designed by architect Adomas Skiezgilas, was erected in 1993, inscribed in Lithuanian and Yiddish in memory of the Skuodas Jews, and people of other nationalities, killed by Nazi occupiers and their collaborators in 1941.
