Iškylos vieta, Zemgale
This rest area sits on Lake Zebrus in Bikstu parish, Dobeles novads, right below the Ezerlūķu hillfort, a state protected archaeological monument that rises about 30 meters on the lake's northeastern shore. The lake and its surroundings have been protected as a nature reserve since 1957, and around 20 springs feeding it from the northern bank have carried separate natural monument status since 2002. Facilities put in by Latvia's State Forest Service include benches, tables, fire pits and a bird watching tower, giving visitors a place to stop while exploring the hillfort or fishing for the lake's pike perch, pike and bream.
