The Benedictine Monastery of St. Benedict in Palendriai was sited for its striking landscape of hills and forest, near a historic chapel built by Father K. Ambrozaitis. Benedictine monks moved into the new monastery in the autumn of 2001. Visitors are welcome to join services and pray with the community, request Mass intentions, and browse the gift shop's postcards, prayer books, Gregorian chant recordings and rosaries, with spiritual counseling available from the resident monks.
