Reached only on foot after a 1.5-km walk from the nearest parking area, this forest hut stands beside the historic Soontagana hill fort on a bog island in the Avaste Nature Reserve, Lääneranna Parish. The hut is equipped with benches, tables, and a fireplace, and shares the site with the ruins of two farmsteads whose history stretches back some 22 generations and with the hill fort's earliest defensive structures, dated to the 7th-8th century. It sits within the wider Soontagana campsite complex, which also includes an observation tower and additional campfire sites.
