Graži vieta, Panevėžio apskritis
Covering about 7.7 hectares between Molainių, Žygeivių and V. Alanto streets, this park in Panevėžys was completed in 2023 and built around the Lithuanian folk tale of Eglė, the Queen of Serpents. A pond stands in for the sea, small hills planted with corresponding tree species represent Eglė’s children, and a serpentine spruce evokes the tale’s grass snake husband, while winding paths and a red and a white meadow reference other episodes from the story. The layout includes pedestrian and cycling paths, a wooden walkway, an amphitheater and a stone path, built in phases so residents could use earlier sections while work continued.
