Tuskulėnai Manor

Graži vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

The grounds of Tuskulėnai Manor were used by the Soviet KGB in the postwar years as a secret execution and burial site - anti-Soviet partisans and political prisoners were killed and buried here. The remains of hundreds of victims were uncovered in mass graves during archaeological excavations between 1994 and 2005. Today the manor grounds house the Tuskulėnai Peace Park - a memorial with a chapel-columbarium and museum dedicated to the victims of Soviet repression.
