Kõvera Lake covers about 12.1 hectares in Kõvera village, part of Võru Parish, Võru County since the 2017 administrative reform (previously Orava Parish), stretching roughly 900 meters north to south and 160 meters across. The lake bed is soft brown mud while the shoreline is mostly firm ground with sandy patches, and anglers catch roach, pike, bream, and tench in its waters. Average depth is about 6.4 meters, reaching a maximum of around 15 meters in the northern basin.
