Each Midsummer, the Seto community gathers at Treski külaplats, the village square in Treski, Setomaa, Võru County, for Seto Jaanituli, timed to the Seto old-calendar Jaanipäev rather than Estonia's mainstream June 24 date. The event is known locally as one of Setomaa's biggest bonfire gatherings, with live bands, a dance group, DJ sets, and food and drink that attendees bring themselves. Daytime programming has included tractor and machinery displays, while the main bonfire is lit only after dark. Treski also serves more broadly as a small music and cultural venue in Setomaa outside of the Midsummer date.
