Apžvalgos vieta, Vilniaus apskritis
Also known locally as Barsukynės kalnas, this hillfort rises in the Naujoji Vilnia district within Pavilniai Regional Park, on the highest hill of the surrounding Ancučiai landscape reserve. Its earthen platform is irregular and elongated, roughly 55 to 60 meters long and 10 meters wide, with slopes reaching up to 60 meters that were further shaped by military fortifications built between 1919 and 1921. Archaeologists date the settlement to the late 1st millennium BC through the early 1st millennium AD, though it was only formally added to Lithuania’s cultural heritage register in 2009.
