Draugystės park

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

Draugystės parkas (Friendship Park) occupies the former grounds of a 17th-century estate called Gedminai (Gotzhofen) in southern Klaipėda. It was laid out under the city's 1962 general plan, designed by architect Alvydas Pranas Steponavičius, as a green center linking four surrounding residential districts. The park contains a mix of native and introduced trees, including oak, beech, maple, rowan, chestnut and linden, and has been renovated in recent years with a multi-functional sports field, children's play areas, and new pedestrian paths and lighting.
