Jotaučių dvaras

Graži vieta, Utenos apskritis

Jotaučių dvaras stands in Jotaučiai village, Utena district, on the left side of the A6 highway linking Kaunas, Zarasai and Daugpilis. From the 17th to the 19th century the estate belonged to the Koziela-Poklevskis noble family, who also held the nearby Degsniai and Kastulynė properties. By 1897 the manor was held by Tomas Koziela-Poklevskis, and the settlement recorded 56 residents across 11 households. The estate was nationalized under Soviet rule in 1940, passed through German occupation from 1941, and its last owner emigrated to Poland in 1947; its surviving red brick manor house, barns and stables served the village as a shop and cultural center until 2001.
