Rožinio slėpinių kelias

Žygis, Kauno apskritis

This Rosary Mysteries Park in Guronys village, established in 2006 after Pope John Paul II added a fifth "Luminous Mysteries" set to the rosary in 2002, is Lithuania's only sacred Rosary Mysteries Path and Park, with frescoes and sculpture created by artist Antanas Kmieliauskas. It honors Cardinal Vincentas Sladkevičius, remembered for humility and devotion to the rosary and his country. It has 5 chapels with frescoes depicting Biblical scenes and events from Lithuanian Catholic history, a statue of the Virgin Mary, a chapel, and a retreat house and museum operate next to the park. An old surviving tree in the park marks the site of the family homestead the Sladkevičius family later moved to; the cardinal's actual birthplace, about a kilometer away in the village, is marked by a separate cross.
